This clay is one of nature’s best detoxifiers and beautifiers and is renowned for its many health and skincare benefits. The green clay we use originates from France and is mined directly from the earth. French Green Clay is a 100% natural bio-organic material and contains a cornucopia of valuable elements. It is made up of a combination of mineral oxides and decomposed plant matter, which give it its green color. It is rich with an abundance of minerals (magnesium, calcium, potassium, dolomite, silica, manganese, phosphorous, silicon, copper, and selenium) and has a shelf life of up to 5 years. It is sometimes called “sea clay” or “marine clay” because the quarries where it is extracted are found in ancient marine beds. When applied to the skin, French green clay absorbs and removes trapped toxins and impurities, tightens pores, and improves skin tone and texture.
